Subhasis Majumder

Subhasis joined the Firm in 2006. He has over 28 years of professional experience in the areas of fund management, financial services, business consulting and supply chain operations. At Ascent, Subhasis focuses on investments in financial services, technology and education. He is also involved in fund raising and managing investor relations.

Previously, in his role as a strategy consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Business Consulting Services, Subhasis advised a large number of Indian mid-market corporate in areas such as growth and business strategy, formulation of market entry and customer acquisition strategies and evaluation of inorganic growth opportunities. Earlier in his career, Subhasis managed a Luxemhurg based India focused private equity fund for a large insurance company in the Middle East. He has also worked as a credit analyst at CRISIL, the Indian associate of Standard & Poor’s, leading a team of analysts to carry the credit rating for a portfolio of companies across a range of industrial sectors.

Subhasis hold a BTech in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur, an MBA from IIM, Bangalore and an AMP from Harvard Business School
