Duncan Woodward is a highly experienced aviation professional with a focus on search and rescue operations. Currently serving as a Qualified Helicopter Crewman Instructor at Ascent Flight Training since August 2018, Duncan has previously held roles including Technical Crew Support Advisor and Technical Crew Examiner at Bristow Group from April 2016 to July 2018, contributing to the implementation of All Weather Search and Rescue capabilities on the S-92 in the Great Australian Bight. Prior to this, Duncan was a Search and Rescue Winch Operator at Brunei Shell Petroleum, where responsibilities included developing new operational procedures. Duncan's career began in the Royal Air Force, spanning from August 1984 to April 2014, where leadership roles included Search and Rescue Crewman and Electronic Warfare Specialist, focusing on the maintenance of operational standards and policy within the RAF Search and Rescue Force.

Our sole purpose is to provide the Military Flying Training System for the UK’s Armed Forces. We provide this through a unique partnering arrangement with Royal Air Force No 22 (Training) Group and the UKMFTS Project Team from DE&S.
