Russ Brannan

Russ Brannan has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Russ is currently working as the Support & Services Director at Ascent Flight Training since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Airbus Group for 10 years, where they held various positions including Senior Operations Manager, Production and Delivery Programme Manager, and Puma LEP Aircraft Delivery Manager. In these roles, they managed large teams, oversaw aircraft production, and was responsible for program management and operational support. Before joining Airbus Group, Russ Brannan worked at the Royal Air Force for 10 years, where they served as an Avionic Engineering Team Leader and Avionics ISTAR Systems Technician, gaining experience in project management and technical troubleshooting.

Russ Brannan began their education history in 2002 at the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering, where they pursued an apprenticeship in Aerospace Engineering Avionics. Russ completed this apprenticeship in 2004. In 2014, they enrolled in Leeds Beckett University and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management in 2017.

Continuing their education, Russ Brannan pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Manufacturing Systems Engineering at the University of Warwick - WMG, which they completed in 2019. In 2020, they furthered their studies at the University of London, obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Law with a specialization in Commercial Law in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Russ Brannan has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Managing Safely in Aviation from IOSH in September 2020, Contract & Commercial Management Practitioner from IACCM in September 2019, Airworthiness Fundamentals (Masters Degree Module) from Cranfield University in September 2016, and EASA Part 145 - Successfully Applying the Regulation and EASA Part M - Successful Management for Air Operators from Baines Simmons Limited in August 2016 and July 2016, respectively. Russ has also acquired certifications such as Practical HR for Managers from Hemsley Fraser in May 2016, Project Management Institute - Risk Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in September 2014, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) from The Knowledge Academy in January 2014, PRINCE2 Practitioner from APM Group in March 2012, and APMP - Association for Project Management Professional from IPMA: International Project Management Association in November 2011.
