Stu McLaren

Stu McLaren is an experienced aviation and education professional with a diverse background in flight instruction and management. Currently serving as a UKMFTS Flying Instructor at Ascent Flight Training since June 2017, McLaren specializes in elementary and advanced flight training on the GROB Prefect 120TP, along with roles in duty supervision and authorisation in air traffic control. McLaren has maintained a long-standing career as a Race and Rally Instructor at McLaren Skytrack since April 1987. Previous roles include flying instruction at Babcock Aerospace, where McLaren achieved A2 Instructor status, and various management and volunteer positions in emergency services and charitable organizations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from the University of Strathclyde and A's and O Level SCE from Lanark Grammar.
