Gerard Washington

Advisor at Ascent Integrated Tech

Gerard Washington is an electrical engineer who has worked on increasing efficiency in manufacturing by creating comprehensive build procedures. Gerard has also built many sensors, assisted with shock stress testing on sensors to determine weaknesses in the mechanical build, and performed RF signal test measurements from different distances to compile data to be analysed. In their current position as an advisor at Ascent Integrated Tech, they are responsible for shock stress testing on sensors to determine durability and discover the weaknesses in the build. Gerard uses an Arduino to control the shock testing rig in order to conduct testing with different shock and vibration levels.

Gerard Washington has a double degree in Innovation, Leadership, and Engineering Entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Gerard also has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
