Julien Collart has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Julien currently works as a Senior Robotics Engineer at Ascent Robotics, Inc. since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Robotics Engineer at the same company from March 2021 to September 2022.

Julien also has experience in academia, having worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Technology Sydney from November 2020 to February 2021. Before that, they held the position of Casual Academic at the same university from July 2019 to November 2020. Julien had another Casual Academic role at the University of Technology Sydney from September 2016 to August 2017.

During their career, Julien had an internship at Honda Research Institute Japan Co. Ltd. as a Research and Development Intern from August 2017 to July 2018. Julien also gained valuable research and development experience through an internship at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab from March 2014 to September 2014.

Julien's work experience also includes a significant research project as a PhD Candidate (Project RMCRC) at the Rail Manufacturing CRC. Julien'sresearch focused on developing an autonomous system for sensing and interpreting people behavior and train events in the urban rail environment. This project won the "CRC Association's Excellence in Innovation" award in May 2019.

Furthermore, Julien demonstrated their project management skills during a collaborative university project with SOGETI High Tech. Julien led a team of 15 students in developing an autonomous system for detecting frailty in the elderly using low-cost sensors. This project lasted for six months, from October 2013 to March 2014.

Julien's early work experience includes a grocery stocking role at E.Leclerc during the summers from 2009 to 2013. Julien also had software developer internships at Matrixcel from April to June 2011 and at ISAE-SUPAERO from April to September 2013.

Julien Collart's education history begins in 2009 when they obtained a two-year undergraduate technical diploma in Computer Science from IUT de Blagnac. In 2011, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Intelligent Systems and Microsystems at Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III - UPSSITECH école d'ingénieurs. Continuing their education, they enrolled in the Master's degree program in Interactive Systems and Robotics at the same institution from 2012 to 2014.

Julien's academic journey then took him to Hokkaido University in 2016 for a two-week Summer School focusing on SLAM and Control of Mechatronics System. In 2017, they attended The Australian National University for a one-week Summer School in Robotic Vision.

Julien's education culminated in their pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD at the University of Technology Sydney from 2015 to 2020, specializing in the field of Electrical, Mechanical, and Mechatronic Systems.
