Ascentec Engineering
Ian Ruef serves as the company President of Ascentec Engineering and is responsible for the overall operations, strategic leadership and management for all divisions of the company. Before joining the executive management team at Ascentec Engineering in 2011, Ian held a number of positions within the company including General Manager, Divisional Operations Manager and Regional Sales Manager. Prior to joining Ascentec Engineering in 2004, Ian was employed by Tektronix Inc., as a manufacturing engineer, where he was responsible for the development of the soldering processes in the printed circuit board assembly division.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Marylhurst University.

Ascentec Engineering was founded in 2001 by a team of process and manufacturing engineers all with a solid background in electronics manufacturing processes. All brought with them experience in designing innovative and productivity-enhancing tools/fixtures that held up to the technology changes within the industry. From this experience, Ascentec Engineering was formed with the goal of providing high value, innovative, and expeditious tooling solutions unmatched in the industry.
