Kayla Collins

Kayla Collins is a Quality Engineer at Ascentec Engineering, LLC since March 2021, responsible for managing nonconforming materials, reviewing nonconformance reports, conducting root cause investigations, coordinating corrective actions, and facilitating communication across departments. Additionally, Kayla serves as the Scheduling Supervisor at Cal Poly Machine Shops, overseeing the weekly scheduling of shop technicians based on various factors, and ensuring collaboration with professors for class scheduling. Previously, Kayla held roles as a Junior Shop Technician and Teaching Assistant in the Manufacturing Engineering Department at Cal Poly, contributing to student learning in machining practices. Kayla holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, completed in 2020.
