Phil Wilkinson

Phil Wilkinson is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Group CEO at Ascentis since January 2001, where significant transformation occurred by converting the former Open College of the North West into The Ascentis Group of companies. In addition, Phil currently holds the position of Chair of the Board of Corporation at Nelson and Colne College Group since February 2022. Previously, from June 1997 to December 2000, Phil served as Assistant Principal at Burnley College, overseeing corporate planning and performance. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education from The University of Manchester, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from The University of Bolton, a Master of Science in Human Biology from Loughborough University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Nottingham.
