Clfp Dan Burgos

Dan Burgos, CLFP has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dan began their career as the Owner of Elmo's Sports Bar and Grill from September 1986 to July 1993. After that, they worked as an English Teacher at Instituto de Ingles Sam Marsali from August 1993 to December 1995. Following this, they served as the Food and Beverage Director at Marbella Resort from January 1996 to January 1997, and later took on the role of Food and Beverage Manager at Grand Hyatt Santiago from February 1997 to July 1998.

Moving on from the hospitality industry, Burgos transitioned to BasiCorp, Inc. where they held the position of Sales Rep / Technical Support from August 1998 to January 2004. Following this, they worked as a Salesman at Deerbrook Forest Chrysler Jeep from February 2004 to May 2005. Subsequently, they joined Main Street Bank as a Credit Analyst, serving from June 2005 to August 2011, specializing in small business financing.

In 2011, Burgos joined Ascentium Capital, where they held various roles over the years. Dan began as a Credit Analyst from August 2011 to December 2011, and then moved on to become an Assistant Vice President - Credit from January 2012 to July 2018. After that, they were promoted to the position of Vice President of Credit from August 2018 to January 2023. Lastly, they currently hold the title of Vice President and Credit Manager at Ascentium Capital, starting in January 2023.

Throughout their career, Burgos has demonstrated a strong understanding of finance, credit management, and helping businesses seize growth opportunities.

Dan Burgos, CLFP, has a strong educational background in business administration, finance, and computer science. Dan attended Montana Technological University from 1982 to 1985, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on finance and computer science. Prior to that, from 1980 to 1982, they attended Sam Houston State University, where they studied business and computers, although they did not obtain a specific degree from this institution. In addition to their formal education, Dan Burgos obtained the Certified Lease and Finance Professional (CLFP) certification from the CLFP Foundation in September 2013.
