Allison Bennett Irion

Allison Bennett Irion currently serves as a Board Member of the Association of Supply Chain Management, set to begin a three-year term in January 2024, representing a global organization with over 100,000 members. As a DOE Oppenheimer Science and Energy Leadership Fellow since December 2022, Allison engages in leadership development within the National Laboratory Directors' Council. In the role of Director of Supply Chain Research at Argonne National Laboratory since January 2019, Allison oversees strategies to enhance supply chain research and analytics. Additional experiences include leadership roles at the US Navy, where Allison holds the position of Strategic Sealift Officer - Commander, and a fellowship at the Atlantic Council focused on the intersection of veterans and advanced energy. Prior positions include technical advisory roles at the National Nuclear Security Administration and Sandia National Laboratories, with a strong emphasis on nuclear non-proliferation and maritime security. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
