Jeff Canfield

Jeff Canfield is an experienced insurance executive currently serving as EVP, Head of Casualty at Ascot Group since March 2023. Prior to this role, Canfield held the position of EVP, Casualty & Product Innovation at Ethos Specialty Insurance Services LLC from June 2021 to March 2023. At Argo Group, from April 2016 to April 2021, Canfield advanced through various roles including Head of Innovation, SVP, Head of E&S Casualty, and Excess Casualty Practice Leader, focusing on innovation, underwriting efficiency, and customer experience. Canfield's early career includes positions at Aspen Insurance Group, AIG, and Amica Mutual Insurance Co., where significant achievements included improving loss ratios and managing substantial portfolios. Canfield earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Richmond in 1993.
