Thomas Banwell

Thomas Banwell is a recent graduate with a First Class (With Honours) degree in Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick, where they specialized in energy policy and the global energy transition. Their dissertation provided a comparative political economy analysis of French and German nuclear energy policies, demonstrating a deep understanding of the implications of institutional contexts on energy success. Thomas currently works as a part-time Retail Assistant at Asda and previously held a Research Assistant position at the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources at UCL, contributing to the second edition of “Planetary Economics: Energy, Climate Change and the Three Domains of Sustainable Development.” Through various roles and internships, Thomas has cultivated strong analytical skills in energy policy and is committed to the transition to net-zero.
