Vanessa R.

Vanessa R. has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Vanessa started their career as an Assistant Head Teller at Scott Credit Union in 1994, followed by a role as a Marketing Assistant at Eglin Federal Credit Union from 1997 to 1998. Vanessa then worked at MAX Credit Union as a Member Services Counselor from 1998 to 2002. Vanessa joined Comala Credit Union in 2002 as an Indirect Lending Coordinator, and later transitioned to Colonial Bank as a Training Specialist from 2006 to 2008. Vanessa then joined BB&T as an AVP, Branch Manager from 2008 to 2010, and worked at MAX Credit Union again as an Assistant Member Service Manager from 2010 to 2013. Vanessa then served as the VP of Talent and Development/AVP Member Service at Guardian Credit Union from 2013 to 2016. Vanessa'smost recent position is the Director of Lending at ASE Credit Union since 2016, and they were promoted to the role of Chief Retail Officer in December 2022.

Vanessa R. began their education journey in 1991 at Mascoutah High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma in 1993.

Following that, Vanessa completed a Certificate of Completion at the Leadership of Elmore County from 2013 to 2014.

In 2014, they earned a Certificate of Completion from the Indirect Lending Institute.

Additionally, Vanessa obtained a Certified CU Financial Counselor certification from the Credit Union National Association in the same year.

In 2015, Vanessa pursued higher education at Troy University, where they completed their Associate of Science degree in Leadership Development in 2019.

Vanessa continues their academic pursuits and is currently enrolled at Troy University, anticipated to graduate in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies.
