Michael Blakeslee has a extensive work experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Michael started their career at Lockheed Martin as a Systems Engineer and later became a Project Engineer for Data Link. Michael then served as an Engineering Program Manager for various programs, including International Program and Maritime Surveillance. In these roles, they were responsible for leading and managing cross-discipline engineering teams, developing technical solutions, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring all requirements were met. Michael also worked at AeroSystems Engineering, where they held positions as Director of Operations and Vice President of Project Management. Overall, Michael Blakeslee has a strong background in program management and technical leadership.
Michael Blakeslee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida College of Engineering in 1993. Michael also obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the Earned Value Management System from Lockheed Martin MS2 in 2010, the Management Strategies Program II from Lockheed Martin Center for Leadership Excellence in 2010, and the Managing Multiple Projects, Objectives and Deadlines from SkillPath On-Site Training in 2008. In addition, they completed the Lockheed Martin Program Management Development Program in 2007, Capture Management Level 1 in 2006, and Six Sigma Green Belt in 2006, all from Lockheed Martin Corporation. Michael also participated in the Management Strategies Program I at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon in 2005. Finally, they earned the Program Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI in August 2011.
