Maryam Ficociello

Maryam Ficociello is an accomplished governance professional currently serving as the Chief Governance Officer and Deputy Secretary General of the Board of Directors at Red Sea Global since September 2017. In addition to leading the Governance, Risk and Compliance department, Maryam holds advisory roles and key positions in various organizations, including the Strategic Management Office (SMO) - CEDA, Red Sea Sustainability, and the Acting Chief Governance Officer at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology). Maryam contributes significantly to the World Cup 2034 Hosting Higher Authority as an Audit & Risk Committee Member and chairs the Risk Management Committee for The Royal Commission for AlUla. Additional roles include serving as an Executive Committee Member for the Saudi Red Sea Authority, and participating in committees related to nominations, remuneration, and audit across multiple organizations. Academically, Maryam has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Innovation and Organisational Change, alongside a strong educational background from The London School of Economics and Political Science and Dar Al-Hekma University.
