Berkay Yucel

Berkay YUCEL is an Aerospace Electro - Optical System Design Engineer at Aselsan since November 2024, and a Research PhD Student at Georgia Institute of Technology since August 2018, focusing on developing an Artificial Intelligence Based Materials Knowledge System to enhance material discovery and manufacturing optimization. Previous experience includes roles as a Materials Data Scientist / Software Developer at Multiscale Technologies Inc., a Research Intern at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and a Graduate Research Assistant at Koç University. Berkay YUCEL holds a PhD in Materials Informatics with a specialization in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and a Double Major in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering from Koç University. Key research projects involve Python-based materials knowledge systems and the application of machine learning in materials discovery.
