Caleb Osborne has a diverse work experience in various roles and responsibilities. Caleb started their career as an IT Intern at Eagle Physicians & Associates, P.A. in 2008. Caleb then worked as an Engineering Intern at Gilbarco Veeder Root in 2011, where they researched and designed prototypes for fuel management systems. Caleb continued at Gilbarco Veeder Root as a Mechanical Engineer/Hydraulics Team member from 2012 to 2014, specializing in mechanical valve and seal design.
In 2014, Caleb transitioned to Asensus Surgical, where they held several positions. Caleb started as a Mechanical Design Engineer II, responsible for managing prototype builds, testing, and 510(k) activities for surgical robotic equipment. Caleb then became a Project Engineer III, writing proposals and project plans for new development. Caleb later assumed the role of Senior Engineer, overseeing the preclinical design validation study for surgical robotics 510(k) submission.
Subsequently, Caleb progressed to become a Program Manager, leading cross-functional teams for the full product development of surgical robotic instrumentation. Caleb served as a strategic leader and decision-maker for the core team, reporting program status to the executive council. Caleb was then promoted to Senior R&D Manager, Product Development, responsible for defining product strategies and system architecture through user needs analysis. Caleb represented business imperatives, conducted business development with strategic partners, and drove employee engagement and satisfaction. Finally, Caleb became the Director of Product Development, responsible for leading the development of AI/ML and robotic technology to deliver on the company's vision for Performance Guided Surgery.
Throughout their career, Caleb has demonstrated expertise in product development, program management, and design validation. Caleb has consistently delivered successful results on time and within budget, while also engaging with strategic partners and senior leadership.
Caleb Osborne obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management from Quantic School of Business and Technology in 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University from 2008 to 2012.
