William Sonnenberg

William Sonnenberg has extensive work experience in the medical field. William started their career in 1983 as a Family Practice Physician at William R. Sonnenberg, MD, FAAFP, HMDC. In 2015, they joined AseraCare as a Medical Director. Additionally, they served as the President of the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians from May 2013 to March 2014.

William Sonnenberg completed their education in a chronological order. William attended Allegheny College from 1972 to 1976 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Following that, they enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine from 1976 to 1980 and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine. From 1980 to 1983, William attended the McKeesport Hospital Family Practice Residency, where they focused on the field of Family Practice.

In addition to their formal education, William Sonnenberg obtained certifications to further their expertise. In May 2019, they became Hospice Medical Director Certified by the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board®. William also became a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians in September 1984, further demonstrating their commitment to their field of expertise.
