Michael Withers

Michael Withers has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software development industry. Michael currently holds the position of Head of Engineering at Angstrom since July 2021. Prior to this, they were the owner of NOAD Technology Services from October 2018 to July 2021, where they offered bespoke software development and consultancy services across various sectors.

Before that, Michael worked as a Software Development Manager and Product Owner at Adsdean Software LTD from November 2017 to October 2018. Michael played a key role in architecting, developing, and delivering an internet advertising tracking and optimization tool that interfaces with multiple third-party APIs.

From February 2015 to November 2017, Michael served as a Senior Software Engineer at Lexis Nexis. In this role, they had a range of responsibilities including software development, business and technical analysis, system ownership, data analysis, and client liaison. Michael also pioneered and implemented a high-performance geospatial lookup engine.

At MBA Systems, Michael worked as a Software Developer from June 2013 to February 2015, specializing in building trading solutions for financial institutions. Michael utilized the Knockout/Durandal JavaScript framework to develop a client administration system for a large American FX bank.

Prior to that, Michael held positions at Applicated as an IT Development Manager, Xerox as a Lead .Net Software Developer, Jenison as a Systems & Development Manager, Document Genie as a Software Developer, and Transactor Global Solutions Ltd as a Software Developer. In these roles, they contributed to product development, system maintenance, and project management.

Michael Withers completed their education at Solent University from 2001 to 2004, earning a BSC degree in Computer Studies. Their field of study focused specifically on Software Engineering and Software Development. In September 2020, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification from Microsoft.
