Serge Schmidt

Serge Schmidt possesses extensive experience in the cement and materials industry, currently serving as President of CRH Americas Cement since May 2016, having also held senior vice presidential roles for CRH in Europe and the Benelux region. Prior to joining CRH, Serge Schmidt worked at Italcementi Group from July 1996 to May 2016, where responsibilities included General Manager for France, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Greece, along with various leadership and managerial roles. Additionally, Serge Schmidt served as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Vassiliko Cement Works Public Company Ltd from June 2011 to March 2016. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Université libre de Bruxelles and participation in the International Executive Programme at INSEAD.
