Kathey Battrick

Kathey Battrick is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in media management and operations. Currently serving as the Head of Media Management and Library at Asharq الشرق since December 2019, Kathey established the Media Library and leads an AI Taskforce focused on responsible AI governance. Previously, Kathey held senior roles at Asharq, including Senior Manager of Library and Media Management, and provided consultancy services for the media industry as an Operations, Media Asset Management and Archive Consultant. Kathey's earlier career includes significant positions at ITN Source, where responsibilities spanned from Director of Operations to Head of Operations, managing various aspects of media asset management and digital transformation. Kathey also contributed to the British Pathe plc as an Online Project Manager, overseeing archive digitization and website development. Additionally, Kathey serves as the Chair of the Middle East Advisory Board for Rise since March 2025.
