Ruth Lan

Ruth Lan has worked in the field of immunology for over two decades. Ruth started their career in 1998 as a Scientific Programmer at Incyte. Ruth then moved on to the University of California, Davis in 2004 as a Graduate Student Researcher. In 2009, they became a Postdoctorate Fellow at Merck. From 2012 to 2020, they worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb, first as a Principal Scientist (Immuno-oncology) and then as a Director of Immunology. Since 2020, they have been a Senior Director of Immunology at Asher Biotherapeutics. During their time at Bristol-Myers Squibb, they were the scientific lead for immuno-oncology drug programs and the lead inventor on two pending patent applications. Ruth also established an early translational research team and developed and utilized platforms for target discovery, mechanism of action investigation, and biomarker research.

Ruth Lan received their PhD in Immunology from the University of California, Davis in 2008. Prior to that, they earned a BA in Molecular Cell Biology, Immunology from the University of California, Berkeley.
