Yawa Hansen-Quao

Yawa Hansen-Quao is the current Director at Ashesi University. Yawa has also previously served as a Board Member for the Global Shapers Community from January 2013 to January 2016. In addition, they were the Cofounder of Impact Hub Accra from January 2013 to September 2016. Hansen-Quao has also been the Executive Director for Emerging Public Leaders from July 2018 to June 2022. Prior to that, they were the Tour Planning & Services Manager for Land Tours from January 2006 to December 2010. Lastly, they were the Program Coordinator for Kokrobitey Institute from January 2004 to December 2005.

Yawa Hansen-Quao has a Master of Arts in Gender, Peace & Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center, Honors in Entrepreneurship & New Product Development from The American University of Rome, and is a Certified Corporate Etiquette & International Protocol Consultant from the Protocol School of Washington. Yawa also has a BSc in Business Administration from Ashesi University. Yawa Hansen-Quao is an Eisenhower Fellow and a member of the Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Mentoring Program through the U.S. Department of State. Yawa is also alumni of the Ghana Institute of Journalism in Radio & TV Presentation.
