Maggie Fehrman brings extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Superintendent for Asheville City Schools since July 2023. Prior to this role, Maggie held multiple positions within City Schools of Decatur from July 2018 to July 2023, including Superintendent, Interim Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Executive Director of Schools. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Principal at Bay Creek Middle School from 2014 to 2018 and as Assistant Principal at Gwinnett County Public Schools from August 2005 to April 2014. Maggie obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Policy Studies from Georgia State University between 2005 and 2013.
