James H. P.

James H. P. has extensive experience in corporate strategy and civic engagement, currently serving as Vice President of Civic & Corporate Strategy at Ashford Inc. since November 2021, after holding roles as Director and Senior Analyst in the same department. Previously, James worked as an Acquisitions Associate at Principal Investments, successfully leading a team to identify and acquire three businesses in 2020. Additional experience includes campaign staff coordination with Van Taylor for Congress, research associate work with The Federalist Society on significant court cases, and an internship with the U.S. House of Representatives, assisting in legislative research. Academically, James holds a Master of Science in International Affairs from The London School of Economics, a Master of Laws from Peking University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University, with concentrations in Political Economics, Philosophy, and Chinese.
