Dusty Sloan

Dusty Sloan has extensive experience in the field of athletic communications and journalism. Their work experience includes roles such as Director of Athletic Communications at Ashland University, where they were responsible for managing communication for 24 varsity sports. Dusty also has experience in writing and editing, including contract work for Ashland University's football program and freelance work. Additionally, they have held positions as a Senior Editor/Vice President of Editorial Content at A11FL, a Communications Strategist at Lure Agency, and a Chief Content Writer for the United Football League. Dusty began their career as a Sports Editor/Writer at Ashland Times-Gazette. Throughout their career, Dusty has demonstrated proficiency in various tools and platforms such as AP style, Presto, Sidearm, and InDesign. Dusty has successfully boosted the visibility of athletic programs by working with regional and national media platforms.

Dusty Sloan completed a college prep program at Ashland High School from 1991 to 1995. Following this, they attended Ashland University from 1995 to 1999 where they obtained a B.A. degree in Sports Communication.
