Lydia Wright

Lydia Wright is an experienced Sr Process Safety Engineer and PSM COE Leader at Ashland since October 2025, with a strong background in Process Safety and Corporate EHS initiatives. Previously, Lydia served as Director of Global Process Safety at Celanese from November 2017 to October 2025, leading a team focused on enhancing Process Safety performance across approximately 49 manufacturing sites. Lydia's career includes roles such as Global Process Safety Manager and various engineering positions at notable firms such as Norton Engineering Consultants, Jacobs, Chevron, Atkins, and ABS Consulting, demonstrating a robust expertise in risk management, process hazards analysis, and engineering project support. Lydia holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University.
