Vice President And Chief Engineer - Advanced Vehicle Program at Ashok Leyland Ltd

Gopi Sankar M has extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Gopi began their career in 1996 at Ashok Leyland, where they held various engineering roles, starting as a Senior Engineer and advancing to positions such as Chassis Engineer and Divisional Manager. From 2006 to 2008, they served as the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. In 2008, they were deputed from Ashok Leyland to Nissan Ashokleyland Technologies, where they worked as a Program Manager for the implementation of the V6 PLM system. Gopi returned to Ashok Leyland in 2015 and held several leadership positions, including Chief Vehicle Engineer for the LCV platform and Chief Engineer for the AVTR platform. Currently, they serve as the Vice President and Chief Engineer of the Advanced Vehicle Program at Ashok Leyland.

Gopi Sankar M holds a Master's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which they completed from 2001 to 2003. Gopi also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering between 1992 and 1996. Earlier, Gopi completed their higher secondary education from TVS lakshmi matric higher secondary school from 1986 to 1992. Gopi attended St Anne's High School from 1984 to 1986 and KVS Higher Secondary School from 1982 to 1984 for their secondary education. Lastly, Gopi completed their primary education from St patricks school rajamundhry from 1980 to 1982.
