Nick Allen-Sandoz, PE, BEMP, is an accomplished engineer specializing in building performance and energy efficiency. Currently serving as a voting member on the SSPC 90.1 Committee's Energy Simulation Subcommittee at ASHRAE since July 2020, Nick is responsible for developing changes to energy standards. Previous roles include Senior Building Performance Engineer at A2 Efficiency, Associate in the JB&B Deep Carbon Reduction Group at Jaros, Baum & Bolles, and Senior Energy Engineer at Karpman Consulting, where Nick conducted comprehensive energy modeling for various building types. With significant experience in energy modeling, project management, and client liaising, Nick has contributed to over 100 energy modeling projects under various energy programs. Nick began foundational career experiences through internships at Tyco Electronics, KlingStubbins, Trauner Consulting Services, and the Department of Commerce, City of Philadelphia. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics from Drexel University.
