Valerie Diaz

Valerie Whiting Diaz is an experienced program manager with a strong background in workforce development, technical support, and organizational capacity building. As the current Program Manager at ASHRAE, Valerie oversees a workforce development grant focused on energy codes enforcement and ensures federal compliance. Previous roles include managing country-level teams at World Vision USA, where Valerie improved organizational engagement with donors, and serving as Deputy Director of Development and Operations at APMG Health, where Valerie identified new business opportunities and developed strategic initiatives. Valerie's experience also spans roles in safeguarding and community development with various organizations, including the Canadian Red Cross and Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Valerie holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University and another Master of Arts in International Training and Education from American University.
