Forrest McGehee has a diverse work experience in the engineering and subsea industry. Forrest started their career in 2011 as an ROV Tech Pilot at Surf Subsea, where they were responsible for system maintenance, asset refurbishment, and cataloging of new parts. In 2012, they joined Compass Off-Shore as an ROV Sub Engineer and worked there until 2020. In this role, they gained expertise in subsea operations.
In 2021, Forrest McGehee joined Seanic Ocean Systems as a Project Engineer, where they conducted meetings with clients, designed subsea equipment, and performed detailed calculations for subsea tools. Forrest also adhered to API 17H standards and was involved in cost estimation and project scope.
From 2021 to 2023, they worked at Subsea 7 as a Project Engineer, contributing skills, integrity, and knowledge in discipline engineering. Forrest was responsible for the production of deliverables, including design calculations, specifications, progress reports, and bid evaluations. Forrest also led the pre-FEED study for Chevron Ballymore Stage 2.
Currently, Forrest McGehee is an External Sales Engineer at Ashtead Technology, starting in 2023.
Forrest McGehee earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Texas between 2016 and 2020. In addition, they obtained various certifications including a License to go off-shore (BP) in September 2012, HUET certification from HUET in July 2019, and a Yellow Fever vaccine in May 2013.
