James Gibb, IEng. IMarEng has a wide range of work experience in the subsea and offshore industry. James currently works as an ROV Intervention Tooling Engineer at Ashtead Technology since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Consultant for ROV Intervention and Tooling at Subsea 7 in 2020, where they conducted FEED studies on field assets and covered intervention interfaces and required tooling. James'scontract ended due to the COVID-19 fallout. Before that, they were a Consultant Engineer at Gibb Sub-Sea from December 2019 to February 2020. James also worked as a Subsea Project Engineer at N-Sea Group from April 2019 to December 2019. James has also worked as a Consulting Specialist for their own business from December 2018 to April 2019, and as a Project Design Engineer at Well-Centric from October 2018 to November 2018. In addition, they have experience as an Offshore Shift Supervisor at SubC Partner A/S in 2015, a Senior Project Engineer at Technip from January 2015 to July 2015, a Senior Subsea Installation Engineer at Ocean Installer AS from March 2014 to August 2014, and a Tie-in and Operations Engineer at FMC Kongsberg Subsea from April 2013 to December 2013.
James Gibb, IEng, IMarEng, obtained a Master's degree in Subsea Engineering from Robert Gordon University, where they studied subsea engineering, remote technologies, and mechatronics. James completed this degree between the years 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, between 2001 and 2003, they pursued a degree in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, also at Robert Gordon University, focusing on mechatronics.
