Eric Nietsch, CFA, currently serves as the Head of ESG for Asia at Manulife Investment Management, a position held since November 2019, where responsibilities include setting the ESG research, integration, and active ownership agenda and collaborating with investment teams on thematic sustainable strategies. Eric also holds the role of Director of ESG Research & Integration at the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC) and chairs a working group focused on investor practices related to climate change risks and adaptation opportunities. Previously, Eric worked at S&P Global Ratings as a Credit Analyst and Sustainable Finance Professional, leading ESG evaluation product initiatives in the APAC region, and held positions at Barclays as a Portfolio Analyst and StormHarbour Securities as a Credit Analyst. Eric earned a BA in Psychology from Colgate University and attended TASIS The American School in England.
