Shoitsu Nakayama is an experienced professional in the field of international relations and Asian studies, currently serving as the Assistant Country Manager at Asia-Pacific Academic (APA) since June 2023, focusing on partnerships within the education industry. Previously, Shoitsu held the role of Project Assistant at APCO Worldwide, managing policy research and media monitoring projects from April to August 2022. Prior to that, Shoitsu was a Research Associate at Edelman Global Advisory, where responsibilities included developing strategies for navigating geopolitical challenges and conducting research on US-China market dynamics from December 2021 to May 2022. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Relations/Asian Studies from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Northeastern University, complemented by a study abroad program in Political Science and Government at Meiji University.

Asia-Pacific Academic (APA) is a professional organization registered as THE APIEA LLC and dedicated to Education Abroad and International Studies. APA was founded in 2021 by three women who are passionate leaders in the field of international culture exchange. They have been dedicated to global education field since 2009. With their 14+ years of experience, the APA team has successfully worked with over 6,000 students and faculty in areas including faculty-led short-term study abroad programs, semester-long programs, internships, virtual learning, and language study. APA team operates programs in over 20 countries/regions throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia, India, Australia, New Zealand, etc. By providing young people with culture exchanges, practical learning, and career development opportunities, APA has formed a platform to connect the Asia Pacific with the rest of the world.
