Barrett Bingley

Barrett Bingley serves as the Asia Regional Director at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, focusing on trade and investment diversification as well as defence and security relationships in the Indo-Pacific. Previously, Barrett held multiple leadership roles at The Economist, including Head of Growth Partnerships, where responsibility involved developing partnerships with major corporations and governments in the APAC region, as well as roles in business development for multilateral development agencies. Barrett's experience extends to advisory roles in various organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Society of Publishers in Asia and chairing the Trade and Investment Committee for the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Educational credentials include a Master's in International Relations from Victoria University of Wellington and a BA (Hons) in Strategic Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada.
