Maria Teresa C. Ogbinar

Maria Teresa C. Ogbinar is the current Chief Risk Officer at Asia United Bank. Maria has over 19 years of experience in the banking industry, starting their career at Citibank in January 1999. Maria held various positions at Citibank, eventually becoming the CFO and Chief Operating Officer. During their time at Citibank, they were responsible for country management support through strategy formulation, corporate governance and policy development to meet corporate objectives and policies. Maria also directed the Financial Control Department in analysis and preparation of all financial and management reporting requirements, including general ledger reconciliation and proofs, procurement, accounts payable, expense reimbursement and profitability reporting. Under their leadership, the company achieved an annual growth rate of 13% in Earnings Before Taxes and 12% in revenues over a 3 year period. Maria also helped the company achieve the highest market share in Cards and Personal Loans against all other competitors.

Maria Teresa C. Ogbinar has a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of the Philippines.
