Julian Hans Hong

Julian Hans Hong is a committee member of the AAJA Style Guide, contributing to a unique resource aimed at improving coverage of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. As part of the JCamp 2024 Cohort, Julian was selected for an exclusive program addressing diversity in journalism, guided by leading media professionals. Experience includes a paid research assistant position at the Hoover Institution, focusing on Taiwan within the Indo-Pacific, and internships with the City of Palo Alto and California State Assembly. Julian has also served as a research assistant at Stanford University, under Professor Josiah Ober. Educational background includes participation in the USA Volleyball U17 Beach National Team Development Program and the Yale Young Global Scholars program, focusing on Politics, Law, and Economics, alongside studies at Palo Alto High School and Taipei American School.
