Shirley L. N. has extensive experience in community advocacy and organization, currently serving as a Community Advocate, Organizer, and Database & Events Assistant at the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund since May 2019. In addition to volunteer roles at the American Legion Auxiliary and AsAmNews since 2018 and 2012 respectively, Shirley has co-organized significant events such as the first group photo of descendants of Chinese American WWII Veterans and has contributed to fundraising efforts. A former Project Associate for the Chinese American WWII Veterans Congressional Gold Medal Recognition Project, Shirley has demonstrated skills in event management, marketing, and multi-media journalism, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Communications and Political Science from Hunter College.
