Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Asian Law Caucus
Christopher Lapinig currently serves as a Senior Staff Attorney for Democracy and National Initiatives at the Asian Law Caucus, a position held since November 2024. Prior to this role, Christopher was a Lecturer in Law at the University of Southern California from January 2022 to January 2025 and worked as Legal Counsel at the Campaign Legal Center from June 2022 to August 2024. Previous experience includes serving as Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice from March 2020 to June 2022, as an Associate Attorney at Larson O'Brien LLP, and as a Skadden Fellow/Staff Attorney II at Asian Americans Advancing Justice│Los Angeles. Early career roles encompassed law clerk positions at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, alongside internships at the Asian Pacific American Legal Center and Munger, Tolles & Olson. Christopher holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies from Yale University, after graduating with Regents Honors from Stuyvesant High School.
