Connie Chung Joe

Connie Chung Joe is a legal professional and civil rights advocate currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California (AJSOCAL), the largest organization dedicated to the legal and civil rights of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. Previously, Connie held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Korean American Family Services from March 2009 to July 2020, and served as Executive Director of the Housing Rights Center from February 2005 to February 2008. Earlier roles include Staff Attorney at the ACLU from September 2002 to September 2004. Connie earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Spanish, and Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of Southern California. Additionally, Connie studied at the Instituto Internacional de Madrid.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California is the nation’s largest legal and civil rights organization for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs).
