Au Shion Yee

Au Shion Yee is a seasoned water resources specialist with extensive experience spanning over two decades in various high-profile roles, currently serving as Principal Water Resources Specialist at the Asian Development Bank since July 2015. In this capacity, Au Shion Yee provides program leadership on natural capital and climate change initiatives, manages regional water resources, and leads projects focused on climate adaptation and mitigation. Previous positions include Team Leader at Seqwater, where responsibilities encompassed asset management strategy and climate change adaptation, as well as serving as Chairperson of the ADB Staff Council during challenging periods such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Au Shion Yee's educational credentials include a PhD in Development and Resource Economics and a Master's in Natural Resource Economics from The University of Queensland, complemented by dual bachelor's degrees in Civil Engineering and Business Management from the same institution.
