Matthew Rees

Matthew Rees is an experienced financial management professional currently serving as a Financial Management Specialist (Consultant) at the Asian Development Bank since April 2018. Previously, Matthew held the position of Senior Manager at KPMG PNG from February 2014 to April 2018 and served as Chief Financial Controller at Hotel Cambodiana from April 2011 to August 2013, managing a prominent hotel property in Phnom Penh. Matthew has also worked as a Technical Financial Advisor for Friends-International between April 2010 and April 2011, assisting marginalized children and families in Cambodia, and as a Senior Consultant at PwC Australia from January 2007 to March 2010. Earlier in 2006, Matthew was a Business Services Accountant at Kilkenny Rose & Associates, a boutique financial planning firm. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Business Management, both from The University of Queensland, as well as a Queensland High School Certificate obtained at Anglican Church Grammar School.
