Zahra Shakur Jamal

Zahra Shakur Jamal, Esq. has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in Public Interest Law from the University of San Francisco School of Law. Zahra is currently the Director of Prevention, Outreach and Education for Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Assault at Asian Family Support Services of Austin. In the past, Zahra has worked in various roles such as the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Lead Issue Organizer for Northern California at Organizing for Action, and as a Researcher at America's New Immigrant Entrepreneurs - Then and Now. Zahra has a strong background in advocating for human rights and supporting vulnerable populations such as victims of domestic violence and immigrants.
