Prarthana Rao is an experienced professional in the fields of human rights and development, currently serving as Programme Manager for the Business and Human Rights Programme at the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) since April 2022, after previously holding the position of Programme Officer for Advocacy and Research. Prior to this role, Prarthana worked at the Thailand Institute of Justice from June 2017 to April 2022, where responsibilities included Regional Programme Coordinator, Policy and Research Officer, and Research Officer. Earlier experience includes a position as Programme Coordinator at Leaders' Quest from July 2015 to April 2017. Prarthana holds a Master's degree in Development Studies with a focus on Social Policy for Development from the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Symbiosis School of Economics.
