Nikita White

Nikita White has a wealth of professional experience, beginning in 1999 when they joined Rupert Tax and Services as a Tax Practitioner. In this role, they prepared and filed tax documents with the IRS for individual taxpayers, non-profits, and corporations, practicing due diligence as to accuracy of information provided. In 2000, they joined McGladrey Contract Business Services as a Staff Accountant/Business Operations Consultant, performing accounting functions for various non-profit organizations and evaluating and recommending changes to internal control procedures for greater efficiency in operations. In 2002, they became an Assistant Business Manager at J. S. Morton High Schools District, ensuring accuracy in budgets and financial reporting. In 2004, they became the Business Manager at Mundelein High School District, presenting a tax rate stabilization strategy and introducing cost saving benefits. Nikita also became the Owner of Panache Events, Inc., providing exceptional service in areas of event planning, décor, event coordination, and venue rental. In 2006, they became the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations at Proviso Township High Schools, maintaining an $83 million dollar operating budget. In 2008, they became an Adjunct Professor at National Louis University. In 2011, they became the Executive Director of Business Services at City Colleges of Chicago, overseeing all business and operational processes of the college. Finally, in 2012, they joined Gary Community School Corporation as the Chief Financial Officer and District Treasurer, responsible for overseeing the school corporation's $200 million dollar budget.

Nikita White obtained a Bachelor in Accounting from Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1995 and 1999. Nikita then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Leadership and Change Management from DePaul University. Following this, they earned an EdD in Educational Leadership from National Louis University. Additionally, they are a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois and has obtained certifications as a Chief School Business Official and Superintendent.
