Nai Chieh (Geri) Tien, Ph.D, LP, LMFT, is a seasoned mental health professional with extensive experience in clinical management, teaching, and psychotherapy. Currently serving as the Clinic Manager at the Asian Pacific Clinic within Aurora Mental Health & Recovery since July 2023, Nai Chieh (Geri) Tien provides leadership and culturally appropriate care for AANHPI clients. As an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at the University of Denver and the University of Northern Colorado, Nai Chieh (Geri) Tien teaches various courses in family therapy and counseling. Nai Chieh (Geri) Tien also owns Intercultural Relationships, PLLC, a private practice that focuses on relational therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Previous roles include Clinic Manager and Senior Clinical Supervisor at the Asian Pacific Development Center and a predoctoral psychology intern at Aurora Mental Health Center. Nai Chieh (Geri) Tien earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado State University.

Mission: The Asian Pacific Development Center is a community-based, nonprofit, 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 1980 to serve the needs of a growing population of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AA/PI) residents throughout Colorado. APDC operates a licensed Community Mental Health Clinic designated by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, innovative Health Promotion and Youth Programs , and a multicultural Interpreters Bank . A trained professional staff provides Culturally Competent services that include: assessment and evaluation, individual and group counseling; case management services; victim assistance services; mentorship, after school, and youth leadership programs; health promotion; interpretation/translation services; as well as cultural competency training and consultation. Services provided are linguistically and culturally appropriate.
