Abid Rasheed

Abid Rasheed has a strong background in infrastructure and technology, with a focus on cloud and automation. Abid has worked at ASIC since 2010, taking on roles such as Team Lead in Security Architecture and Acting Chief Information Security Officer. In these positions, they have been responsible for leading teams, building and managing solutions on various platforms, defining architectural standards, and ensuring compliance with security guidelines. Prior to ASIC, Abid worked as an Infrastructure Architect at Roy Technologies Pty Ltd and a Solutions Architect at Macquarie Telecom. Abid also has experience as a Senior Engineer at HarbourMSP Pty Ltd and an Infrastructure Architect at Australian Defense Industries (ADI). Abid began their career as a Systems Engineer at Quantum Internet.

Abid Rasheed has a diverse education history in the field of technology. In 1997-1998, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science. In 1999, they gained MCSE certification in Windows NT. In 2000, they obtained CCNA certification from Cisco. In 2002, they completed the Sun Certified Network and Sys Admin certification specializing in Unix/Solaris. In 2013, Abid received TOGAF Certification in Architecture. Abid further expanded their knowledge with various cloud certifications, including Microsoft Azure Architecture in 2018 and Architecting with AWS in 2015. Abid also gained expertise in cloud technology through the completion of the Big Data on AWS course in 2017. In 2023, they attained CISSP certification in Cyber Security from ISC2. Additionally, Abid has obtained a Certification for the completion of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) Course.
