Jeri Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jeri started their career as a Claims Assessor at AXA Australia in 1999 and held various positions in the company, including Senior Claims Assessor, Retail Insurance Claims Manager, and Group Insurance Claims Manager. Jeri then joined AMP in 2012, where they worked as a Business Unit Manager in Group Insurance Operations and later as a Business Unit Manager in Group Insurance Claims. In 2014, Jeri became a Group Relationship Manager at AMP. Jeri then moved to MLC Life Insurance in 2017, where they served as a Senior Manager in Risk Partnering. Currently, they are working at ASIC as a Senior Manager in Operational Risk and has been actively involved in developing and enhancing ASIC's Enterprise Risk Management framework. In 2023, Jeri was promoted to the position of Head of Enterprise Risk and Resilience at ASIC.
Jeri Thomas has a strong educational background in business and finance. Jeri obtained a Diploma of Integrated Risk Management from Interlink Technology in 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment at FINSIA from 1999 to 2002. Jeri also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Monash University, specializing in Management, Economics & Accounting, which they earned from 1994 to 1997. Jeri's education journey began at Melbourne High School, where they received their Victorian Certificate of Education in 1993. Additionally, they have a certification as a Certified Practicing Risk Manager (CPRM) from the RMIA - Risk Management Institute of Australasia, obtained in 2022.
