Lydia Chen

Lydia Chen is a lawyer at ASIC specializing in Financial Services Enforcement since May 2016. Prior to this role, Lydia worked as a solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills from January 2012 to April 2016. Lydia's earlier experience includes serving as an Inquiry Line Officer at the Office of Legal Services Commissioner from September 2008 to November 2010, and holding internship positions at Herbert Smith LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2010 and 2009, respectively. Lydia began professional involvement in academia as a PASS Leader at the University of New South Wales in 2007. Lydia holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting, both earned from UNSW from 2006 to 2010, and completed secondary education at Hornsby Girls High School from 2002 to 2005.
